About the EAA Chapter 179

Chartered in Albuquerque N.M. on August 29, 1963. Incorporated in the State of New Mexico in July, 1965. Has been in continuous operation to the present day.

We celebrated our Golden Anniversary in August 2013 at the Sandia Resort and Casino. We invited chapter founders as special guests including Earl Cummings, Bill Caldwell, Bill Guernsey, Jerry Longmire, David Mick, and Jim Stark. It was a fun evening packed with friends, great food and drink, and aviation stories to commemorate this important chapter milestone.
