EAA Chapter 179 presented EAA’s Flyin0g Start & Eagle Flights program at Albuquerque’s Double Eagle II airport (KAEB) on May 10th, 2025. This page is intended to be a resource to assist in setting forth on the adventure of becoming a pilot. It will be available just to those who attended, so make note of the URL. Enjoy. george
PS: As I come across other material that I think would be helpful, I will add it here. So .. check back occasionally.
- THE PROGRAM
- Eight people with keen interests in becoming pilots convened in Lance Hunter’s large and pristine hangar at 0800 with coffee and donuts to get the morning started.
- Then followed a presentation, Giving You a Flying Start, presented by George Young with comments from Lee Otto. (Download the .pdf to page through it yourself.)
- It was then time to introduce each of the attendees to one of the Chapter’s pilots for an Eagle Flight.
- Flights returned near 1100 hours to be welcomed by pizza and drinks, and conversations Q&A with Chapter members about — flying.
